Somatic Coaching
One hour. One conversation. Your whole self — welcome.
There are moments on this caregiving journey when what you are carrying feels too large, too layered, too tender for a group to hold.
Moments when you need to be met — not as a caregiver, not as a parent, not as the one who holds it all together — but simply as yourself. In all of your complexity. In all of your exhaustion. In all of your quiet, unspoken truth.
That is what a private Somatic Coaching session offers.
This is not therapy. It is not advice. It is not a protocol or a program. It is an hour of deep, embodied presence — a space where you are invited to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with the wisdom your own body has been holding, often beneath the noise and the doing and the surviving.
Somatic Coaching works with the intelligence of the body rather than the analysis of the mind. Rather than trying to fix or force change, we create space for what is ready to be felt, acknowledged and expressed to arise in its own time. Through compassionate listening, intuitive guidance and somatic exploration, emotional release becomes possible, old patterns begin to soften, and clarity emerges — not because you pushed for it, but because your body was ready to offer it.
Each session meets you exactly where you are. We begin by simply checking in with the body — noticing what is present before any words are spoken. From there the session unfolds organically, guided by what arises. There is no agenda, no performance, no right way to show up. Wherever you are is exactly the right place to begin.
What a session includes:
— 60 minutes via Zoom with Dessa or Susan
— A somatic check-in and body awareness practice to open the session
— Therapeutic dialogue, intuitive guidance and somatic exploration
— Space for emotional release, insight and integration
— A gentle closing practice to help you land before returning to your day
A Session might be right for you if:
— You are navigating a particularly hard season and need individual support
— You want to go deeper than a group setting allows
— You are feeling stuck, depleted, disconnected or lost in the role of caregiver
— You have something you haven't been able to say out loud yet
— You are ready to be witnessed — fully, without judgment or agenda
