Our Story…

Susan and Dessa met while studying at the Integrative Psychology Institute, in a training that wasn’t about memorizing information or collecting techniques. It was about remembering — learning to meet the ones we care for and ourselves through the language of the nervous system, the rhythm of the breath, the tremor of truth that lives beneath words. We practiced regulation before repair, embodiment before expression, discovering how healing moves through fascia, through voice, and through presence.

Through that shared journey, they found in each other a mirror — a quiet reminder that being present for others begins with being present for ourselves, and that this presence ripens in the sacred space of being witnessed.

These conversations have become our refuge. They feel like having arms around us — a circle of listening, of breath, of somatic awareness, where love and fatigue can coexist.
